ALABAMA (WHNT) -The Department of Justice has ended its federal oversight of an Alabama women’s prison after over a decade.
Attorney General Steve Marshall announced on Thursday, July 23, that the final judgment in the case of United States v. State of Alabama and Alabama Department of Corrections would close out nearly two decades of federal oversight of operations at Julia Tutwiler Prison for Women.
