New Home in Roanoke built during Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build event

ROANOKE, Va. – Volunteers came together today at Bullitt Avenue Southeast to build a house for Habitat for Humanity.

Dozens of women, community partners and supporters spent the day framing walls, installing siding, and teaching each other construction skills- all to help a future homeowner.

Habitat says about 75% of its homebuyers are single mothers and Wednesday’s Women Build aims to create strength, stability and self-reliance through safe, affordable housing…
