Photos Revisit A Career Rooted In San Francisco
In its Facebook tribute, the San Francisco Police Department said it was honoring Ortega’s life and legacy, noting that he remains dearly missed by the people who worked alongside him. The department’s earlier official announcement stated that Ortega served San Francisco for nine years and most recently worked out of Mission Station, putting him in the middle of one of the city’s busiest corridors.
