Haltom City now has a new Korean barbecue destination where the grill work is handled tableside. Wooga KBBQ has opened at the H Mart Plaza, pairing sizzling meats with familiar Korean comfort food before the shopping center’s much-anticipated anchor store arrives.
Officially called Wooga – Korean Steakhouse by Chodang Village, the restaurant is a spinoff of the Texas-based Chodang Village chain, according to CultureMap Fort Worth. Unlike self-serve Korean barbecue spots, Wooga’s staff cooks the meat for diners, meaning guests can focus on eating instead of negotiating over the tongs.
The menu also reaches well beyond barbecue. The Chodang Village family of restaurants lists locations in Carrollton, Plano, and Austin, with a menu built around Korean staples such as soft tofu soup, seafood pancakes, galbi, and other shared dishes, according to Chodang Village.
