Man sentenced for murder of Moore High School student

MOORE, Okla. (KOKH) — More than three years after 18-year-old Madeline Bills was found dead in her bedroom, her former boyfriend has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

In April 2023, family members discovered Bills’ body inside her bedroom. The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Bills was strangled and ruled the Moore High School student’s death a homicide.

A month after her death, investigators arrested her ex-boyfriend, Chace Cook, in Illinois. Cook later pleaded guilty to first-degree murder with malice aforethought, possession of contraband in jail, and assault and battery…
