The Salvation Army Harrisburg seeking supplies to give to kids going back to school

(WHTM) — Tonight’s hometown heroes will help kids about to go back to school.

The Salvation Army (TSA) Harrisburg is asking for help to fill a need to give students the tools they need for a successful school year. TSA is serving 400 children; each one gets clothing and shoe vouchers, but supplies from backpacks for older kids to binders are also on the list.

“We are still in need of quite a few different items,” said Toni Lynn Mark of the Salvation Army Harrisburg “We need binders, calculators, rulers, folders and we also need donations to help offset some of those clothing vouchers we are going to be offering the kids this year.”…
