EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (PIX11) — Frustration is boiling over at an East Flatbush apartment complex where tenants said they’re living with a growing list of problems, including a building-wide gas outage impacting their ability to carry out daily activities like cooking.
Bibiana Mancero tells PIX11 News she’s been living without gas in her East Flatbush apartment for more than three weeks and is now forced to use hot plates to cook meals.

“I am experiencing the flickering of the lights when I turn on the hot plate,” she said. “So, I can’t cook two things simultaneously cause the light blows out. I can’t have the air conditioner and the hot plate on at the same time. So, either I’m eating, or I’m sweating.”
