Montclair State University broke ground last week on a $120 million Interdisciplinary Science Building that will triple the institution’s lab space and support expanded programs in chemistry, physics and interdisciplinary science.
The 110,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to open for the start of the 2028-29 academic year. A $60 million capital facilities grant from the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education is helping fund the project.
