Party in the Park
The 29th season of Party in the Park continues on Thursday with a headline show from Start Making Sense, a tribute to rock band Talking Heads. The Dip, a Seattle-based R&B band, will open the show.
The summer concert series takes place every Thursday at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park through Aug. 13. Gates open at 5 p.m., and performances begin at 6:30 p.m. This year’s lineup includes both nationally touring artists and local artists across multiple genres.
General admission is $7, and children 12 and under get in free. You can get tickets online here, in-person at the Auditorium Theater on East Main Street, or at the gate. People can bring one sealed bottle of water, but lawn chairs, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, and pets are prohibited. See News10NBC’s guide to Party in the Park here.
