Kansas City may dodge early rain, but fast-moving storms roll in overnight

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will start Thursday, with spotty storm chances lingering through much of the day, but not everyone will see rain early, the National Weather Service said.

The morning storms are expected to weaken as they approach the Kansas-Missouri state line. A few sprinkles and showers could reach the Interstate 29 and Interstate 49 areas, the weather service said.

Hit-or-miss shower chances will linger through the day, so keep an umbrella handy, especially west of Interstates 35 and 49…
