Sunny weather to come to an end soon in Western NC as storms move in

Following days of inclement weather in the Western North Carolina region, the Asheville area is seeing some rest from rain and thunderstorms ― but it won’t last.

The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings for parts of North Carolina earlier this week, as heavy rain and thunderstorms rolled through the state. By Wednesday afternoon, July 29, weather conditions had largely cleared up.

The National Weather Service’s most recent predictions as of the morning of Thursday, July 30, call for clear, sunny conditions for several days. Unfortunately for any Tar Heels with weekend plans in the western region of the state, however, rain and even further thunderstorms are expected to return by early this weekend…
