CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — Rhode Island State Police are installing 39 automatic license plate readers across the state as part of the agency’s $597,000 three-year contract with Flock.
According to Captain Marc Alboum, the state agency will not share Flock data with other states or federal agencies.
“The Rhode Island State Police have entered into a project. They’ve placed cameras on certain roadways and they’re sharing information with the local cities and towns,” said Col. Michael Winquist, Secretary for the Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association.
