Lee’s Summit man accused of stealing millions in Ponzi scheme

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Lee’s Summit man is accused of operating an investment scheme that defrauded millions of dollars from victims.

A criminal complaint filed recently, alleges Trevor Uhls, 29, operated a Ponzi scheme that fraudulently obtained more than $2 million from at least 24 individual investors through false and misleading representations. Investor funds were allegedly misappropriated for Uhls’ personal benefit, according to a news release.
