National retailer Sierra plans to open its first store in Sioux Falls.
It will be part of the new Foss Fields development, which recently announced a new location for Hobby Lobby.
Sierra is part of the TJX family of off-price brands, which includes TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls and Home Sense.
Products span categories from outdoor recreation, fitness and adventure gear to home decor.
There is apparel and footwear for men, women and children, as well as seasonal merchandise.
Sierra, which originally was called Sierra Trading Post, joined TJX in 2012 and has grown to more than 150 locations.
“We are incredibly excited to have Sierra at Foss Fields,” said Ryan Tysdal of Tysdal Commercial, the leasing agent for Foss Fields.
“Seeing a new retailer enter the Sioux Falls market on the east side is a testament to the strength of the retailers along Veterans Parkway.”
Sierra will be positioned next to Hobby Lobby in the development’s new retail center, which is under construction north of Menards on Veterans Parkway.
“Sierra has consistently been one of our most requested retailers by the public,” Tysdal said, adding that having a TJX brand in the retail development helps create additional leasing momentum.
“Many retailers seek TJX out as a co-tenant; they are a strong traffic generator,” he said.
“TJX has continued to be an incredibly strong family of retailers, and we are excited to finally welcome Sierra to Sioux Falls. This is a brand we have been working with for over five years to bring to the market.”
