Man hospitalized after being shot over property dispute

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A man is in the hospital after being shot multiple times over a property dispute Wednesday morning, authorities said Thursday morning.

The victim, 51-year-old Sioux Falls man, is expected to survive.

Sioux Falls Police said Querreterrion Payne, 37, of Sioux Falls was arrested for multiple charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a former drug offender.

According to Sioux Falls Police Sgt. Cole German, around 9 a.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to the area of West 1st Street and North Duluth Avenue for a report of gunshots.
