LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – Mid-Michigan families are facing severe sticker shock as they begin back-to-school shopping, with a new economic analysis revealing that the upcoming school year will cost parents nearly 11% more per child than last year.
According to a joint report from The Century Foundation and the Groundwork Collaborative, back-to-school expenses are projected to climb to close to $4,000 per student.
