TAUNTON, MA — A woman died after a single-car crash in Taunton late Friday night, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
Police said the crash happened around 11:15 p.m. on Country Street, where a 2001 Honda Accord struck a telephone pole. The driver, 26-year-old Selina Mendez, later died at the hospital from her injuries.
Passenger hurt, driver did not survive
A 23-year-old passenger in the car suffered minor injuries, officials said.
No other vehicles were reported in the crash. Authorities have not said what led up to the collision or whether speed, weather, or any other factor played a role.
