COLONIE, NY (WRGB) — The Colonie Police Department has arrested a suspect and successfully recovered a stolen vehicle along with a missing dog, thanks to a quick-thinking employee at Whole Foods.
On July 29, members of the Colonie Police Patrol Division responded to the parking lot of Whole Foods, located at 1425 Central Avenue, following a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Officers learned that the victim’s dog, a Pomeranian-Husky mix (“Pomsky”) named “Mimi,” was inside the vehicle when it was taken. Officers canvassed the surrounding area, reviewed video surveillance footage, and alerted local business employees to remain vigilant for the suspect and the missing dog.
