The weight room at the YMCA of Metropolitan Columbus D.A. Turner branch will be closed during much of August.
That’s because, starting Aug. 3, the facility at 4384 Warm Springs Road will undergo a renovation costing a more than half a million dollars, according to the YMCA’s news release.
Private donations entirely fund the renovation, Lori Lucero, executive director of the John P. Thayer YMCA branch in downtown Columbus, told the Ledger-Enquirer. Lucero oversaw planning for this project at the Turner branch, which began in January.
