ENGLEWOOD — Charlotte County detectives arrested a woman they say was hired as a pet-sitter but stole a couple’s belongings when they were out of town.
Sara Christina Bettencourt, 36, 285 S. McCall Road, was arrested this week, charged with grand theft, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrest reports show a complaint was filed by two people who live in Englewood. They said they had hired Bettencourt to take care of two of their dogs while they were out of town, after a “meet-and-greet” in their home…
