The property manager that oversees the Forum Place building says the structure is safe to occupy while undergoing repairs, after state employees questioned if their offices are on the verge of collapse.
They are not, according to Property Management Incorporated (PMI), despite work to prevent any further deterioration of the building. That work was described in a city building permit as an “emergency.”
“Engineering reviews and material testing support continued building occupancy while targeted repairs and long-term planning move forward under specialist guidance,” PMI wrote in a statement to PennLive. “At no time have the engaged structural professionals indicated the building is unsafe to occupy.”…
