ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A waste leak has shut down the Blossom Road exit on I-590.
A traffic camera shows a fire engine and vehicle blocking the exit as cones are set up. One truck can be seen at the exit as well.
News 8 crews arrived at the scene and spoke to a fire chief, who said the truck was leaking “waste activated sludge.” They have stopped the leak.
The DEC told News 8 that they are using absorbent padding to help catch the material that leaked out of the truck. They will continue to monitor the clean-up process…
