Funeral transportation worker accused of stealing, pawning dead woman’s wedding rings

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A funeral transportation worker is accused of stealing two wedding rings from a deceased woman before pawning them at a local pawn shop for profit.

According to an arrest affidavit from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the woman died July 15 at an assisted living facility. A funeral home removal service responded to the facility and transported her body to Palms West Funeral Home.

The arrest report says a relative later discovered the woman’s wedding rings were missing. Family members searched through her belongings and determined the rings had not been left behind…
