Texas A&M is set to see one of their top targets in the cycle come off of the board tomorrow, as Richmond Randle RB Landen Williams-Callis has a commitment announcement scheduled for August 1 at 6:45 PM. This is a recruitment that has taken a lot of twists and turns, from the Aggies holding all the confidence to now a lot of momentum being on the side of the Longhorns.
However, the recruit himself is and has been pretty quiet when it comes to tipping his hand one way or the other, meaning it’s hard to tell exactly how real that momentum is. These things tend to get clarified as recruitments near their end, with some telltale signs manifesting even in recruitments that are being played very close to the vest.
That’s why this morning’s update from Steve Wiltfong of Rivals was so eye-catching for Aggie fans. While the Recruiting Prediction Machine on Rivals still is trending heavily towards the burnt orange, it seems like the door still might be ever-so-slightly cracked for the Aggies with a decision coming in soon.
