JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Today: A heat advisory has been extended through 7pm as humidity continues to make it feel like the triple digits this afternoon. Highs will top out in the mid 90s along with chances for a few isolated showers. Better chances for rain will arrive Saturday ahead and along a cool front. A few isolated showers will be possible overnight and in the early morning hours Saturday.
This weekend: Rain coverage looks to be more scattered ahead of an approaching cold front moving in Saturday. It looks like there may be another chance for showers as the front exits further south Saturday evening, so make sure to have the umbrella throughout the day in case you come across any of these showers. During this time, temperatures will fall back to the low 90s. By the end of the weekend, humidity will drop, making it feel much more comfortable heading into next week…
