Rockford man found guilty of murdering 23-year-old Jace Glasgow

FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) – A Stephenson County jury finds a Rockford man guilty of a handful of crimes.

Saul Lara, 30, of Rockford, is found guilty of armed robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and three counts of first-degree murder.

On August 17, 2024, Jace Glasgow, 23, of Freeport, was found dead in a bedroom.

Almost a year later, on July 22, 2025, Lara was served a 15-count indictment. At the time, he was already in custody at the Stephenson County Jail for an unrelated weapons charge from October 2024.
