A multi-day severe weather pattern is tracking east from the Plains toward the Appalachians through Sunday, bringing potential for damaging winds, flash flooding, hail, and isolated tornadoes.
The main corridor of severe weather is forming south of a larger rain system moving from the Plains into the Ohio Valley. According to AccuWeather senior meteorologist Alex Sosnowski, the principal hazards each day remain localized flash flooding and destructive wind gusts, along with the possibility of brief tornadoes and large hail.
