BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A sea of garbage, half broken furniture and bundles of torn clothes.
The state of a large unused field off Planz Road and Hale Street continues to deteriorate into a dumping ground.
Ward 1 Councilman Eric Arias represents the area and said it needs improvements.

“I wanted to send a message to the community broadly that Southeast Bakersfield is no longer going to be a place for your dumping grounds,” Arias told 17 News. “I have frankly been frustrated with not only the lack of laws and enforcement on the books that the state of California has put in place, but also with the lack of response and the speed at which our own city staff has responded to this very issue.”…
