Two Ecorse men accused of posing as construction workers to steal $65K from Lambertville home

MONROE COUNTY, Michigan (WTVG) – Two Ecorse men are facing felony charges after they allegedly posed as construction workers to enter a Lambertville home and steal about $65,000 in cash and jewelry, according to the Michigan State Police.

Justin Andrew Ortiz, 34, and Matthew Lawrence Wisner, 31, were arraigned in the First District Court of Monroe on Friday, July 31. Both men have been charged with larceny over $20,000 and larceny in a building.

Authorities said the incident began on Wednesday, July 29, when the two men entered a home in Lambertville after obtaining permission from the homeowners. Once inside, the men allegedly took blank checks, cash, and jewelry before fleeing…
