Washington D.C. man suspected in Lynchburg shooting arrested after more than two months

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The Lynchburg Police Department announced Saturday that a Washington, D.C., man is behind bars in connection with a shooting that took place in the Hill City in May.

LPD took 21-year-old Jovaun Adrian Lee into custody on Friday, July 31, in reference to the May 20 shooting on Memorial Avenue that injured one person.

On that day, officers with LPD responded to the 2500 block of Memorial Avenue around 1 a.m., after receiving 911 calls reporting shots fired in a gaming establishment…
