MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 39-year-old West Palm Beach man faces multiple criminal charges after allegedly driving recklessly through Islamorada, hitting an off-duty deputy’s motorcycle, and threatening officers during his arrest early Saturday morning.
Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a gas station near Mile Marker 82 on U.S. 1 at approximately 12:48 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2026. According to law enforcement, Thomas Dominick Carlevale struck the motorcycle belonging to an off-duty deputy and fled the area.
