National Farmers Market Week kicks off today and one local organizer says it helps put the spotlight on local producers.
Manager Gretchen Wilson says the Adel Farmers Market features around 45 vendors each week, selling everything from fresh produce to baked goods, crafts and more. She talks about how National Farmers Market Week is a good time to recognize those local producers.
“I think the biggest thing is that it helps promote and support all of the local small business owners in the local communities. It’s just extremely important for all of us small business owners to stick together, kind of come together and to support one another. And a farmers market that’s held once a week is the best place and the best option.”…
