BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — An emergency alert sent just after midnight ordered residents along South Snake River Road from Heise to 10000 South to evacuate as the Big Rock Fire crossed containment lines and threatened the area.
Deputies worked through the night evacuating homes in the affected area. Officials urged people to stay away from the fire line and evacuated areas, saying road closures and evacuation orders are in place for public safety and to allow firefighters, law enforcement and aircraft to operate safely.
