3 children found safe in SF after kidnapping in Flandreau

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Three children who were allegedly kidnapped from the Flandreau Reservation by their mother on Saturday have been found safe, though the suspect has not yet been located.

According to a news release from the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Police Department, prior to what authorities describe as a kidnapping, Tribal Police made contact with Jordan Curry for a separate criminal investigation, when she fled from police.

After this incident, Saturday morning Tribal Police and the Tribe’s Office of Social Services (OSS) received a report that Curry took her three children from their placement home. At this time, the Tribal OSS has custody over Curry’s children due to her prior criminal incidents.
