UNC Asheville will begin its 2026 Weeks of Welcome on Thursday, Aug. 13, opening more than a month of move-in activities, campus traditions and student programs. The schedule continues through Sept. 18 and is designed for both students arriving for the first time and those returning to campus.
New-student move-in begins the program Aug. 13 and continues Aug. 14, with arrival windows from 9 a.m. to noon. Opening-day activities include campus lore, a family reception and game night, while the next day adds first-year seminars, the Chancellor’s Welcome, a welcome picnic and bingo.
Returning students move in Aug. 15 and 16. That weekend also includes EmBark orientation, a tailgate and pep rally, Highsmith After Dark, a brunch that requires an RSVP, a campus poster sale, outdoor activities and a sunset party…
