Ohio EPA fines company after fire debris found near Blacklick Creek

A New Albany company represented by a New Albany law firm will pay $10,000 and could owe an additional $40,000 after state regulators found it improperly used a Jefferson Township property as a hazardous waste treatment and disposal facility.

According to findings from the director of the Ohio EPA issued in June, Colts Creek LLC owned property at 2368 Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, a roughly 2½-acre tract of land located just north of Havens Road and west of Blacklick Creek from January 2021 until May 2023.
