Virginia Woman Extradited To Florida Over Threats To State Lawmaker And Judge

A 27-year-old Virginia woman faces multiple felony charges in Florida after authorities traced written threats targeting a state representative, a judge, and a law enforcement employee to her, state investigators announced.

Jasmyn Osborne, of Petersburg, Virginia, was extradited to Florida on July 16 and booked into the Collier County Jail. She is charged with three counts of making a written or electronic threat to kill or do bodily injury following an investigation led by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

The probe opened in June 2025 after a Florida state representative and an employee of the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office received letters containing threats of sexual assault and murder.
