DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Pork Producers Association will give away 1,776 Pork Chops on a Stick on August 16 at the Iowa State Fair to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
The giveaway starts at 11 a.m. at the Pork Tent building. Fairgoers should enter from the north side near the Animal Learning Center, and each person can get one free pork chop while supplies last.
The promotion honors the nation’s semiquincentennial and recognizes Iowa farm families who have fed America for generations. Iowa pig farmers continue producing safe, wholesome pork while supporting one of the state’s most important industries…
