MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police were called to a local hospital after a patient came in with a handgun, according to the Mobile Police Department.

According to an MPD news release, officers were called to a local hospital Sunday, Aug. 2, around 7 p.m. after a patient arrived with a handgun.
When officers arrived, they found the gun had been reported stolen out of Mount Vernon Police Department’s jurisdiction in 2023.
No information was given on why the patient was at the hospital or why he had a gun there.
