VENETA, Ore. – A 72-year-old man with Alzheimer’s who walked away from his Veneta home on Aug. 2 has been found safe, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
LCSO officials said a caller reported finding Steven Jay Friedman near Zumwalt Park outside Veneta around 7:10 a.m. on Aug. 3, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office. Paramedics took him to a local hospital for treatment. Friedman’s family has been contacted. The sheriff’s office has cleared him as missing.
Friedman walked away from his home in the 29600 block of Jeans Road around 3:20 p.m. on Aug. 2. His family reported him missing to the sheriff’s office at 6:13 p.m. that day…
