The Springfield Police Department is planning a National Night Out event Tuesday, Aug. 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Williamette Sports Park, 400 S. 32nd St.
The free event gives attendees the chance to meet officers and staff, learn about special units and teams and get a close-up view of department vehicles and equipment.
