Quakertown Borough officials plan to revise the municipality’s solar and generator inspection program after residents argued they were being charged twice for similar safety reviews.
According to the Bucks County Herald, council discussed lowering the borough’s $250 annual generator inspection fee and potentially allowing borough employees to complete the work for $72. Councilman Mike Johnson also advocated exemptions for residents who depend on generators because of chronic medical conditions, saying, “There’s no reason to hit people for that.”
