Settlement sends alert to Lindsay car buyers in Maryland, Virginia for possible refunds

MARYLAND (WBFF) — Maryland consumers who bought vehicles from certain Lindsay dealerships in Maryland and Virginia will soon receive mail that could lead to significant refunds, according to Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown.

AG Brown said consumers who purchased vehicles at Lindsay Ford in Wheaton, Maryland; Lindsay Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram in Manassas, Virginia; and Lindsay Chevrolet in Woodbridge, Virginia, will receive claims notices related to a settlement involving those dealerships.

The Maryland Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division and the Federal Trade Commission reached a settlement of civil charges against Lindsay Ford, LLC, doing business as Lindsay Ford of Wheaton; Lindsay Chevrolet, LLC, doing business as Lindsay Chevrolet in Woodbridge, Virginia; Lindsay Motors, LLC, doing business as Lindsay Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram in Manassas, Virginia; Lindsay Management Company, LLC; Michael Lindsay, an owner of the companies; and John Smallwood and Paul Smyth, two additional officers…
