Cause of fire that damaged Versailles pool hall ruled undetermined

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WKYT) – The cause of a July fire that damaged Wilson’s Pool Hall and displaced five people in Versailles was ruled undetermined on Monday, with no foul play suspected.

The Versailles Fire Department said that while the fire’s cause is undetermined, there was an unspecified failure in the building’s electrical system on the first floor.

Specifically, the fire’s origin was in the left rear corner of the building, next to a utility closet, where a “V” pattern was seen, with extensive burns and charring on the lath and plaster ceiling…
