NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Metro Nashville Police have identified all four pedestrians involved in Saturday afternoon’s deadly crash on Lower Broadway and released updated information on their conditions.
The crash happened shortly after 12:30 p.m. at Broadway and Fourth Avenue North. Police said 87-year-old Thomas Cahill of Bowling Green, Kentucky, ran a red light and struck four pedestrians who were legally crossing Broadway.
Police identified the pedestrians as:
- Timothy Wedlock, 58, of Australia, died from his injuries
- Matthew Gregg, 44, of Jacksonville, Florida, remains in critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center
- Dianne Cooper, 58, of Parsons, Tennessee, remains in critical condition at Vanderbilt
- Kathleen Broderick, 21, of Knoxville, was discharged from the hospital Sunday
Police previously said Cahill showed no signs of impairment. Investigators continue working to determine why he drove through the intersection without stopping, and no charges have been announced…
