Prichard police timeline: Who’s been arrested, where the cases stand

In an ongoing investigation of corruption in the Prichard police department, prosecutors have so far presented a grab bag of state and federal charges, including some that were filed months before the investigation was announced in mid-June.

Seven Prichard officers face charges. Most are in the early stages, though a plea deal has been struck in one federal case. Following the arrest of Prichard’s police chief and a grand jury recommendation to abolish and rebuild the city’s police force, Prichard Mayor Carletta Davis appointed an interim leader. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office has also been handling non-traffic calls in Prichard and taking inventory of evidence and other property held by the city.
