2 facing more charges in gang alliance investigation

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Two men arrested earlier this year in connection with an extensive racketeering investigation are now facing more federal charges, according to First Assistant United States Attorney Charles Calenda.

Dele Souza and Keshawn Jones were among the 26 alleged gang members originally charged with racketeering conspiracy back in June.

Calenda said investigators found a loaded pistol and significant quantities of fentanyl and cocaine in Souza’s home at the time of his arrest. Souza was federally charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession with intent to distribute as a result…
