ROCKFORD, Ill (WTVO) — Rockford-area police departments are celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday across the Stateline, offering free family-friendly events aimed at strengthening relationships between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve.
The Rockford Police Department will host its event in downtown Rockford near the City Market Pavilion at Water and Madison Streets from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Live music, face painting, food, and giveaways will be available.
The Loves Park Police Department and Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office will be at Machesney Park Town Center, 8750 North 2nd Street, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Community members will have the opportunity to meet officers and first responders who serve the area and have an evening filled with interactive activities…
