ARLINGTON, Mass. (WWLP) – An Arlington resident doubled his luck after winning two $75,000 Keno prizes from identical wagers in the same drawing.

The Lottery announced that James Rogers won a total of $150,000 by playing two identical $5, 8-spot Keno wagers for the Friday, July 31 drawing.
Rogers claimed his winnings on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Dorchester. According to the Lottery, Rogers said he plans to save his winnings.
He purchased both winning tickets at the Knights of Columbus, located at 15 Winslow St. in Arlington. The organization will receive a $1,500 bonus for selling the winning tickets.
The Massachusetts State Lottery said Keno players can choose between one and 12 numbers, or spots, from a field of 1 to 80. Twenty winning numbers are randomly selected for each drawing, with prize amounts and odds varying based on the number of spots played.
