Daily chances for storms continue into the weekend

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The unsettled weather pattern is sticking around for at least a few more days.

A cutoff upper-level low spinning over Georgia continues to pull deep Gulf moisture into the Carolinas, fueling another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

Not everyone will see rain, but any storm that develops will be capable of producing torrential downpours thanks to abundant tropical moisture in the atmosphere.

Showers will gradually diminish tonight, leaving behind partly cloudy skies with some patchy fog possible by Wednesday morning…
